Staple Skirt

Crop top: River Island | Cardigan: Zara | Skirt: H&M | Boots: Topshop | Sunglasses: RayBan

A couple of weeks back, I spent a lovely sunny Saturday walking along the Thames path to Greenwich, and for the first time ever, I walked the Greenwich foot tunnel under the river, which was pretty cool!

This crop top has made a fair few appearances lately - but it's just so perfect not only because of the weather, but because the aztec-y geometric print won't fail to add a little something to an otherwise plain-ish outfit!

Currently, I'm enrolled at the London College of Style undertaking a short course in 'Fashion and Personal Styling'. The module I'm doing at the moment is teaching me all about different body shapes, and how to best enhance our natural assets but also disguise the areas of our bodies that make us feel insecure! For a girl like me who's not too well-endowed in the upper area and more hippy (word?) and pear shaped, I'm learning that high-waisted A-line skirts are perfect to show off all the right bits.

I looove this skirt - it's super comfortable and versatile but most importantly, it's figure flattering and enhances my waist, which isn't as shapy as I'd like. It's definitely one of my wardrobe staples!

Enjoy my scenic pictures of Greenwich below!

Matchy-Matchy

The last few seasons have been all about NOT matching, but rather, more focused on mis-matched looks and clashing prints. But for Spring & Summer 2014, it's all about matching sets!
I'm not really one to over-think if my outfits are matching in the slightest, and tend to just throw things together based on whether I think the colour clashes or prints are interesting and appealing to me. But I have to say, I've really started to like this new trend and may be in search for a cute little set pretty soon!

Motel DOES Rock

So last Friday, I ventured into central London and hit the Motel Rocks Spring sample sale. I was so so excited and evidently quite a keen bean because apparently I was one of the first to walk through the door and was given a Motel goodie bag, including some perfume and other goodies, and best of all - a '£20 off any £40 purchase' voucher. Oh my days... I definitely tried to play it cool when I was given it for fear of having it snatched off me if I became too weird, but inside me, my victory dance was haaaappening!

So here's what I got!

Aaaaahhhhhhh! I'm so pleased with my purchases and can't wait to wear it all! Motel has some amazing new stuff on their website for the upcoming Spring months, so check it out HERE!
